Post-Graduation Work Permit
International students who complete an eligible study program at a Designated Learning Institution often qualify for a Post-Graduation Work Permit.
PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS
To be eligible to the Post-Graduation Work Permit, you need to satisfy to the following main requirements:
Graduated from an eligible Designated Learning Institution
Completed studies that took place in Canada
Completed an academic, vocational or professional training that was at least 8 months in duration
Maintained a full-time student status during each academic session
Received a transcript and an official letter from the Designated Learning Institution that he/she fulfilled all the requirement for the completion of the studies
Graduated from a:

Public post-secondary school

Private post-secondary school (in Quebec)

Private secondary or post-secondary school (in Quebec) that offers qualifying programs of 900 hours or longer, that leads to a diplôme d’études professionnelles or an attestation de spécialisation professionnelle

Canadian private school that can award degrees under provincial law but only if you’re enrolled in a study program that leads to a degree as authorized by the province
